Case Study #9 - Stormwater Retention System

THE SITUATION:  A series of precast concrete structures were used to create an underground stormwater retention system with controlled outflow.  

THE SOLUTION: The retention system which had been designed to handle approximately 500,000 gallons of stormwater runoff from a parking area was effectively sealed using ConSeals CS-102 Butyl Rubber Sealant and CS-212 External Joint Wrap.

CS-102 Butyl Rubber Sealant used for the primary seal
between the precast concrete sections.

CS-212 External Joint Wrap used as additional precaution to prevent possible sediment erosion in the joint area.
